This was after the exhumation process entered its third phase leading to the discovery of 19 bodies, the highest number of bodies found in a day since the process started.
In a report by Citizen TV, the death toll from the cult now stands at 303; the victims are believed to have died from starvation.
The cult was uncovered in April 2023, and its leader Paul Mackenzie is believed to have brainwashed his followers to starve to death so that they could meet Jesus.

Yesterday, Mackenzie's 65 followers rescued after his arrest have been charged with attempting to take their own life contrary to Section 226 of the Penal Code.
The 65 were rescued from Shakahola Forest while fasting and still refused to eat while at the Sajahanadi Rescue Centre in Kilifi.
According to the charge sheet, the suspects attempted to kill themselves by absconding meals while at Sajahanadi by staging a hunger strike between June 6 and 10.
They reportedly refused to eat in protest, demanding to be set free.
