The death toll increased to 303 after 19 more bodies were exhumed from mass burial sites where pastor Paul Mackenzie lived with his followers in coastal Kenya, the AP reported.
According to the outlet, coastal regional commissioner Rhoda Onyancha said told reporters that 613 are still missing. The death toll is expected to climb as more graves are discovered on the coastal property.
The saga started in April after Kenyan police went to MacKenzie's property after being notified by a tipster that dozens of people were starving to death after their pastor told them it was a way to meet Jesus, according to the report.
