Who are the potential competitors for AMD's chip?
BRAD SMITH: The race to capitalize on the AI hype heating up. AMD unveiling details surrounding its new AI chip, which analysts believe and expect will be direct competition with NVIDIA here. I'm reading through some of the release that they've put out and some of the early reviews that have come forward. It seems like for some of the chips, it's actually going to go towards enterprise customers, enterprise laptops, and PCs there.

What are the other applications that the chip could be used for?
And we'll see exactly what that means in terms of the demand that they're going to see given that the PC market has been weak to this point. So we could be looking at a multi-year type of strategy. But some of the advancements that were noted within here is how this will increase the ability for even the framing of your video camera call or your teleconference call or video conference call rather. That's what I meant to say.

How could this chip change the landscape of video conference calls?
How that will improve the framing there. How it'll improve the battery life if you're having an extended period of these calls two hours or more they tested it on. Apparently, for some of the Microsoft Teams calls out there too. So apparently, as this starts to get infused within the production, this can have some of the artificial intelligence mechanisms baked in to just improve the quality of your video conference call, the quality of how long your battery is lasting, as well with the devices as well.
JULIE HYLAN: I understand nothing, except what Dan Howley tells me who covers this stuff much more deeply than I do. And his impression is that this doesn't necessarily seem to be the NVIDIA killer or even the NVIDIA rival that perhaps some forecasts were looking for from AMD. It's a souped up version, and more accelerated version of what AMD was already offering. And that looks like it's reflected in the stock price, which is down a little bit in today's session. Whereas, we're seeing strength elsewhere in the chip-averse.
